I wonder if Denver thinks that Champ Bailey and Al Wilson are worth what they're paying them today?

Once again, the only players on the team are Joe Horn, Ashley Ambrose and Duece. Donte has finally awakened somewhat, near the end of the year and when it doesn\'t matter anymore.

Primarily we have no quarterback. TWICE he threw underhanded, once for an interception, when he should have been throwing it away. Sandlot football. A couple more could easily have been interceptions. He throws off his back foot constantly, stays in the pocket too long, doesn\'t go thru his check list and can\'t hit his check off receiver.

There is no defense whatsoever in New Orleans and there is no coaching. What are they thinking at the end of the first half, backed up inside their own 10 and calling a pass play where the throw is in the middle for 10 yards? A nothing play, designed to get nothing. If it was designed for more but Aaron threw there, then my point is made again. Throw it down the field if you\'re going to take a shot, otherwise go in to the half before someone gets hurt.

I predict again that after this season Aaron is gone and no other team will pick him up UNLESS they are desperately in need due to injury or the like. He is going to drift off the map just like Stewart did at the Steelers. Stewart had one or two good years and then fell apart. Aaron can\'t even claim that after 5 seasons.

What did they see in J T O\'Sullivan. Another slacker who took the money and ran. Got his signing bonus and then the 11 mil or so this year and has produced nothing. That and Aaron tells me that Haslett et al cannot evaluate talent, period!

What difference does it make? J T probably would have been a better 3-technique tackle.

I think he did.

So what are the Saints needs (other than coach obviously) this offseason?

1. LB
2. DT
3. CB
4. QB
5. T
6. A possession WR
7. TE??

In what order? What needs to be done about the defense. I refuse to believe that there is so little talent amongst Bellamy, Jones, Mitchell, Craft, McKenzie, Brown, Watson, Grant, Smith, Howard, Young, Green... these guys aren\'t bums. Can Venturi really make them look that bad, or are they that bad?

Venturi\'s system, or lack thereof, makes them bad. I think he puts in a lot of time scheming for a game, but if the other teams shows him something he hasn\'t seen, he is flummoxed. I distinctly recall in the Cards game when they were running out the clock and running every down he ran a stunt by the defensive line, which completely opened the middle of the field, got an offensive lineman on Watson and Emmitt ran in a 29 yard td. Definitely on Venturi.

Biggest needs:

LB
DL
Either safety(Bellamy is getting older and Tesucky is Tesucky)
CB
T
QB
C(so Bentley can move back to guard)
If we are drafting and Rolle and Johnson are gone and Mike Williams is there, take him.

I\'d be afraid to take Antrell Rolle. He looks like a headcase to me, and that\'s not the direction that we want to be going.

Derrick Johnson should be our best bet in my perfect world. Either him or A.J. Hawk would make a good addition.

Ok, here\'s my bold prediction.

If we get to 7-9 or maybe 6-10, I think Haslett survives.
If Haslett survives, then he\'s going to start talking about \"getting tough against the run\".
With the adds of Craft and McKenzie, he\'s not going to deal with the secondary.
That would put us drafting at somewhere between 15-22, I\'d say Haslett tries to apologize for the Sullivan pick and takes Orien Harris --DT from Miami, Anttaj Hawthorne--DT from Wisconsin or my sentimental Haslett favorite, Gerald Anderson--DT from Georgia.

If we end up at 5-11, then I think Haslett is gone. I think we win at least one more game. Call me an optimist
A 5-11 season puts us somewhere around #10. I don\'t see us making the top 10, but maybe 11-15.
Even if we draft at 11, I don\'t see Johnson from Texas being there. I\'m not sure Antrel Rolle CB Miami will be there. What happens with Brooks and Joe Horn under new management make this hard to predict, but I think the smart pick will be a LT, if Alex Barron from Florida State falls that far. In later rounds I\'d pick up Dvoracek depending on what sort of shape he\'s in. He could be good value on the second day for the D-line if he\'s big enough.
