Players "stunned" by Benson's comments.

I'd be stunned too, if my level of play was so flawless as Sundays:

NEW ORLEANS -- Considering the way their season has gone so far, the New Orleans Saints may not have been totally surprised by the beating they took from the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
But what they heard in their locker room just minutes after a 34-13 loss to the Broncos stunned most of them. It didn't take long for word to spread that club owner Tom Benson expressed his displeasure with their performance upon exiting an elevator near the locker room.

The fact that the players are \"STUNNED\" by Benson\'s comment is proof positive they may be a bit challenged on the football-smarts issue.

Uh, Orlando, since when did the OWNER qualify as an \"outside\" opinion. Glad to see you don\'t want what he thinks affecting your game. LOL - stupidity.

How much you want to bet Ruff is let go by Benson specifically for that comment? Not that his play has warranted anything more.

I think they were stunned that Benson finally was making them accountable. I mean -- after all of these years he let everything slide. The players now are awakening to the fact that they may be out of football (because who is going to pay for a player who displays no interest in improving his play). This must be a shock to them. After all of these years of just collecting a paycheck and now they have to earn.

maybe if hasleet had said something like this before they would be playing better. instead haslett just sits there and makes exccuses. good for benson.
