“I don’t feel like I was really injury-prone, the only real injury I had was in ninth grade. I had to get to get surgery on my knee in the 2012 season and I didn’t tear anything, I didn’t tear a meniscus or ACL or anything, they just had to put another tendon in my kneecap to make sure it was stable. The doctor said I could have played with it but if I wanted to have a long career in the NFL that I would probably get the surgery so it wouldn’t happen again, my knee wouldn’t pop out again. As long as I stay stretched, do some yoga and drink some water, I’ll be good.”

There were reports that you tore that ligament in ninth grade, was that accurate?
“I didn’t tear a ligament, I just partially dislocated my kneecap so it would always slip out just a little bit. It never happened during any football games through my high school and college career up to spring practice where it came out a little bit. I still walked off the field, I was fine. I was about to start practicing again but the doctors thought it was a little loose so they tightened it down with another Achilles tendon from a cadaver and now I’m fine.”
What a horrific injury!

We'll love him and Powell..Powell signed to play for Urban and Urb bounced...Fortt ended up leaving Penn State after the scandal..Both players had a tough college experience but they persevered and have a chance to play at the highest level. The talent is there it's all about can you coach it out of them.

2013: Butkus Award semifinalist started in nine of 11 games played. Missed the last three games of season with a biceps injury. 2012: Redshirted due to knee surgery after transferring from Penn State. Had knee surgery prior to the 2012 season. Actually tore the ligament in ninth grade, but didn't become a problem until early 2012. 2011: Played in 13 games, but started none, for Penn State. 2010: Played in nine games and started one for Penn State.

great pick assuming his knee holds up. if it does and he can be coached up because right now his football IQ needs work. he is an athlete more than a football player. well roy boy knows LB for the most part so lets see what he can do with the kid

If we had a different LB'ers coach I'd be much more excited about this raw prospect.

Doesn't look like an injury history to me. He finally had surgery to repair a kneecap issue he had as a freshman in high school.

He didn't tear anything so the knee shouldn't be an issue at all.

From what I understand; Rob Ryan is pretty damn good at coaching up the Linebackers...
