UPDATE: Minnesota was awarded the bid for Superbowl LII in 2018. New Orleans made the final cut as Indianapolis was eliminated from contention after the second round of votes. Congrats to Minnesota for winning.

According to Ramon Vargas of the Advocate, Saints owner Tom Benson will be arriving in Atlanta in about 30 minutes to discuss with his fellow owners about the Superbowl LII bid for New Orleans.

I feel bad for the dirty old men who work for the NFL and use the Super Bowl as their annual hedonistic adventure. Those field grazers up in Minnesota will certainly disappoint.

So happy not to be hosting. The economic impact of a super bowl is wildly overstated.

Not surprising they chose Minnesota with the new stadium and NO having just hosted... anyway, disappointed for New Orleans, but glad for Minnesota.

I was going to post pretty much the same thing:p Indy just had the SB too. This makes it really fair that Minnesota got it.

Yep it makes sense but if I had plans to attend the SB, I would prefer traveling to a warm, sunny cozy spot. And having good food & entertainment doesn't hurt but good for Minneapolis.

It sucks especially since its going to be our citys birthday which happens to be older than the United States.
If they do end up moving the draft around, I bet it will be here in 2018
