About this time a year ago, New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead wasn't sure what to think.

He is a rookie third round pick out of tiny Arkansas-Pine Bluff trying to figure it all out and absorb as much about the Saints offense as possible.

But much has changed now. After taking over the staring left tackle spot during the final two games of the 2013 regular season and during two playoff games, Armstead is thoroughly entrenched as the protector of Drew Brees' blind side now.

"It feels a lot different," Armstead said prior to the Ben Grubbs Charity Softball Game on Wednesday night at Zephyr Field. "Last year about this time I was really just trying to feel my way in and trying to find myself. Now I know I'm in at the left tackle position so now it's just I have come in learn my technique, get more comfortable with the offense and just play ball."

I'm excited to see where he's at

The 2 playoff games that Armstead played in, I'd say were two of our best rushing performances of the year vs eagles and seattle (obviously not counting the dallas game)

We also ran to armsteads side quite a bunch, I remember in the seattle game, ingram taking a handoff left side and Armstead making a nice block - ingram went for 17 yards and trucked earl thomas to finish the play.

Excited to see what he can do in year 2

He's the only LT on the team right now? That's not very good!

The depth is thin for sure on the OL. Hopefully the young guys will step up. But, Strief can play LT without missing a beat.

I'll be sick if Strief has to play LT.

Rooks is a RT isn't he? I think the Saints made up that other name.

Rooks is a *T when Sean says he is a *T.

Every Depth chart has him at LT.

Now if we are going to make up names lets make up the BU QB.

Second string QB for the New Orleans Saints - Dick Cannon!

Bam! Well Rooks played RT exclusively at K-State I think. And his baby's momma probably wants him to stay there.

I've got the utmost confidence in Armstead. I think he'll be a better version of the greatness that was Jamal Brown.
