this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Practically no news out there as we approach the deadline: no word on negotiations or an appeal. Graham's $7 mill already counts against our cap, but we have little room after that, which is why we need to sign him ...

24 hour countdown -----crickets
Practically no news out there as we approach the deadline:
no word on negotiations or an appeal. Graham's $7 mill already counts against our cap, but we have little room after that, which is why we need to sign him and backload a deal. Also, JG has no incentive to sign the Tag and play it out, because he'll then just go thru the same saga again next year Clock is ticking for Graham, Saints | ProFootballTalk |

Less than an hour from deadline for filing appeal, it appears that Jimmy Graham WON'T be filing appeal of franchise-tag decision. |

Why would we hear? There's nothing to hear about until it's done. Either way JG is a Saint this year so sit back relax and let's not look for crap to sweat over.
