You guys don't realize him just being on the field alters the D Lines approach. Terron Armstead mentioned in his interview how with Jimmy being on the field buys him extra time to defend Brees just cuz the D Linemen focus first on accounting for Graham or trying to throw him off his route. He's dangerous for a reason. The other reason he's been out of running plays the last couple of seasons were injuries, that's what made our offense predictable. We could've asked him to block with his injuries and risked losing our biggest receiving threat.. and if that did happen we'd be cursing out the coaching staff.

I absolutely realize this. I think Jimmy is as physically gifted and dangerous weapon as Megatron. Before he got hurt I thought he was the league MVP to that point. He was unstoppable before the injury. After the injury....still best TE in the league but much less explosive. Does pointing out a guys one area he could improve mean you don't like him or realize his importance? All right I'm sorry he blocks like Willie Roaf! I give up. For the record I think his talents are best utilized as a WR. He's faster than Colston. I'd like to see tried-WRs Jimmy and Cooks, TE Watson.

I'm all for blocking improvement on running plays if he is healthy, it would make our offense less predictable, but at the same time If he's plagued with injuries I'd rather leave him doing what he does best and least exposed.
