At some point he is going to need to step up. If Lewis goes down for any length of time there will be a huge drop off.

He's not mentally weak; he's only had 2 years at corner was a WR before that... And it was known when they drafted him, that he was a project with terrific upside, he was never supposed to start this season.

But in the two games he's played he's had pretty decent coverage and just wait until we start pressing with him

Realistically, you're spot on...but we shouldn't have spent a second round pick on a project...reason I didn't want to see us take him there...

You are absolutely correct Danno. I really do not get the draft process. I still see a second rounder as what should be a potential first year contributor.

Please make sure you're not eating or drinking before reading the next sentence.

I would've rather seen us pick one of the two high potential place kickers available this year than a project. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Why would I not want to draft a kicker? I would have no problem drafting a kicker.

Ever watch Jay Cutler play? Ingram after a run that doesn't go as well as he thought it should have? Romo after his 3rd interception in a game?

Frustration happens, even Drew shows moments of it from time to time. The difference is what happens right after; if he gets up and goes at it again its not a big deal. If he Cam Newtons off to the side line and hangs his boudin for the world to see like a person that has quit on his team, then I see that as a problem.

I'm with you on 99% of that except Jay Cutler. Dude is probably the most mediocre 100 million dollar qb in the league. Amazing arm but everything else is ok. I looked at his stats one day and couldn't believe how low some of his numbers were. At any rate, I just hope Baptiste doesn't turn out like Cutler where we are hoping that in year 9 things will click and he realizes his potential.

You can visibly see an interception p1$$ drew Brees off, the difference is he doesn't slouch on the sideline because of it, he comes straight back out and puts that frustration into his game, slings the ball around makes defenders look silly at the same time

After all these years jp, I knew it was only a matter of time before you came in the thread and dropped this line. Two things you can always count in...

Jp on early round draft picks contributing immediately and Euphoria calling power rankings gay.

Sorry Danno. I thought I remembered you being a bit less than excited about picking a kicker a couple of years back.
