Injuries - Lewis and Fortt

Lewis looked like a toe. Fortt a possible hamstring. Has anyone heard specifics?

Knowing Payton's preseason M.O. - we won't know for a couple of weeks at least.

Payton's M.O. - He will hint about both during the 2016 post season.

Or, "he has a toe" or "he has a hamstring", and "should be back sooner than later"! Or, " we will be smart with his snaps"!

With Fortt, a red-shirt year might be best, although he was having a good camp.

Nothing much on Lewis except this really bad article:
Keenan Lewis Injury: Updates on Saints CB's Leg and Return | Bleacher Report

For now, Lewis' plans are shelved and the Saints must rely on names such as rookie Stanley Jean-Baptiste, 36-year-old Champ Bailey, Patrick Robinson and Corey White in a division that includes Julio Jones, among other great receivers.

by other great receivers I assume he means Colston, Graham, Stills, & Cooks, because I can't think of anyone else

"Mr. Bleacher Report, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul..."

Thank you, Billy Madison...if not for you I'd have no dialogue...ever.

I sure hope the 'toe' injury is minor for Lewis. Those things tend to linger and if there is anyone we cannot afford to lose in the secondary, its Keenan.

Turf toe has a way of turning into an IR injury it seems lately.

But that is fine with me if they can't contribute this year. Let them get familiar with the system while they recover.

Not much but from his Instagram on Sat. "Ready for the season".

He is very spiritual, lack of anything but that leads me to believe that he is fine.
