Tom Brady is already elected in this process...

Thought Kenny Vaccaro or Keenan Lewis and not Byrd would be our defensive backfield representative...

And with equal press, Cam Jordan is gonna be a force in the selections...

Guess Drew is only a system quarterback...

Because they need content to drive eyeballs to their site. Even if it's crappy content.

What influence? By January (Hell, by September!) it'll all be forgotten.
Tom Brady is already elected in this process...
A poor choice IMHO. Both Manning and Brees were better last year all around. And the Saints offense has gotten better in the offseason.

That would not be anything close to a national audience thought process. First and foremost a defensive back is going to have to be in the 5+ INT range to even get consideration. Of all our DBs, only Byrd qualifies at the moment.
And with equal press, Cam Jordan is gonna be a force in the selections...
Cam (and Junior) would need to do something spectacular to gain notice. It'll take a 20 sack season to change most national media's perception.
Guess Drew is only a system quarterback...
Drew is now always mentioned in that ultra-elite QB category. To stand out from that though you have to do 2 things:

1. Out of this world numbers.
2. Playoff success.

Think about the fact that Kaepernick has been in the last 3 NFC championship games, while Brees has not. Both you and I know there's absolutely no comparison between the two from the QB perspective. But if as a QB you are not putting your team is a position to get to the SB, then they ones who do will always get the nod.

At this point it would take a 6000 yd, 60 TD season on the way to the SB to crack the ceiling.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
