Since the roster is not complete without a Kicker...

Unless Coach Payton geauxs totally Parcells on us...

You know - two pt conversions...

going for it on all fourth downs inside opponents 35 yd line...

expanding Morstead's job description (which would be totally out-of-the-box), anyways...

thought I'd start a thread and see what players y'all like us to trade for or raid practice squads for...

This should make the Saints/Bama contingent happy, but two guys I'd like us to secure the services of are...

Trade Rams for:

OL Barrett Jones, 6-4, 308 lbs

Raid Cards PS for:

OL Anthony Steen 6-3, 314 lbs

Who'd you like us to see add...

All false. We'll have a kicker tomorrow. I believe that today is the deadline for contracts being guaranteed.

Actually since Dimke isn't vested, I'm not sure why he was cut. His salary isn't going to be guaranteed in any case.

Good question, You think either of these players are better than Harris?

Was being funny about Payton; am sure though he's sending a message that he's not giving a job by default which I applaud...

I believe those two guys have more upside than Senio Kelemete; Barrett just needs to continue to strengthen, get healthy...

By the way, how do you do it?!? In Atlanta, wearing the Black and Gold?!?

With a smile on my face and a second-line in my heart.

First off there are a ton of Who Dats here. For example I met a cashier at Home Depot who hails from Houma.

Secondly I just love jawing with ignorant Falcons fans who believe there's still a rivalry. I remind them that the Saints have won 13 of the last 16 meetings, have never been swept by the Falcons in the last 8 years, that 3 of the last 6 losses (4 of the last 7 after this upcoming Sunday) in the Georgia Dome have been at the hands of the Saints. Then to top it off, ask them where is their ring. It's simply demoralizing.

I then point out that they simply have not gotten much better in the trenches over the off season. Baker is gone and the rookie is well, a rookie. Couple that with an anemic pass rush and marginal LBs and safeties (let's not forget that the Falcons tried to snatch Bush from us), and that Falcons butt whipping is now available to pick up from the drive through.

Finally, most Falcons fans don't bother to wear their gear. So why should I be the least bit irratated by fans who do not really support their team.

A smile on my face and a second-line in my heart.

The Saints have been to playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and a own a SB championship.

I can hardly believe this happened in my lifetime.

Re: Raiding and Trading

the only trade that would make a huge impact for this team right now would be ILB.

and that Mike Smith is their coach.

That 4th down call 2 years ago will always mark one of my best times in a stadium. First, the whole crowd was "WTF?" and then when we held them, everyone just stood there with their mouths hanging open.
Of course, seconds later everyone left, and I got to enjoy the game primarily with Saints fans.

I am all in on No K... I been wanting to go with out a punter as well... go for it with our passing attack. Give us an extra down each series we can't get 10 yards with extra down then we deserve to lose.
