I've been predicting since we drafted Cooks that he puts up numbers this year similar to Julio Jones and wins rookie of the year in a landslide. Julio will get a lot more looks because the Saints have so many weapons but we have Payton and Brees so it will be close.

The poster was reasonable. Something I'm not used too from Clown fan sites.

I feel opposite this year that I did about our WRs last year. We've got top notch talent at the WR position. Last year I felt like even our better receivers suffered because we couldn't spread the field, succumbed to double teams, couldn't get seperation etc. I don't see that happening this year.

The best defense against us has always been a soft zone to keep all the plays in front of the defense. They hope we get impatient with all the short stuff and make a mistake. It works if the opposing team has a decent pass rush, especially up the gut, which Atlanta doesn't. Fast LB's also cause us problems because we can't get our RB's outside and the screen doesn't work as well.

But of course if you're Seattle, you just mug and hold all game.

A soft zone worked best before the arrival of Cooks. With his speed and moves, a short pass under coverage can turn into 6 from anywhere on the field, with one move. St. Louis can attest to that.
