6. The NFC South could be a really interesting race this year. Based on Week 1, the Saints will have to fend off real challenges from both the Falcons and Panthers.

8. Think Matt Ryan is happy everyone's healthy? Ryan was 9-of-11 for 224 yards on throws at least 15 yards downfield Sunday. Nine completions were a career high.

First of all, these are ESPN rankings. Every site does their own. There isn't one consensus ranking like the BCS.

Second, the comments about each team are more interesting than any poll I have ever seen on B&G.

Funny we're ranked higher than the Falcons. Thats gotta really chap their ass.

The fact we're ranked in the top 10 with that defensive showing probably chaps their ass. Hell....it almost chaps mine. Lol.

Many here would disagree. There have been a plethora of fascinating polls on BnG.

I think the writers gave the Saints a little bit of leeway for the defense based on last year. Chalk it up to a bad game. It won't last long with the writers or any of the rest of us though. 23 missed tackles can't be the norm.
