Is Drew Brees the worst QB when under pressure?
The answer is yes, which actually shocked me. I knew Brees was bad this year when under pressure but I didn't expect him to be the worst in the NFL. Brees in the past was never this bad when under pressure, in fact teams that blitzed Brees regularly got beat with a deep pass, but now teams are no longer afraid to bring pressure.
"No quarterback in the NFL has been worse while under duress this year than Drew Brees, who needs to start making better decisions under pressure when the Saints (2-4) host the Green Bay Packers (5-2) on Sunday night. Brees now has a league-worst passer rating of 19.4 when he's either under duress or being hit, according to ESPN Stats & Information -- a number that has plummeted with three ugly interceptions over the past two games against the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I am not pleased with his perfomance vs Tampa (dumb mistakes).
Other than that, he was Drew Brees, most of the time avoiding his O-linemen. |
