Turley threatens Martz' life!

NFL security has questioned Rams coach Mike Martz and offensive tackle Kyle Turley over an incident where Turley allegedly threatened to kill Martz, ESPN's Chris Mortensen has learned.

Martz and Turley allegedly engaged in a shouting match which resulted in Martz filing a report with NFL Security regarding the death threat, Mortensen is reporting.

The argument began when Turley heard that Martz questioned the tackle's dedication to rehabbing his injured back and decided to confront the coach, Mortensen reports. Turley is on injured reserve after re-injuring his surgically repaired back early in training camp.

For his part, Turley denies having threatened Martz. And on Tuesday evening, Martz issued a written statement through his agent, Frank Bauer, denying the report of a confrontation with Turley. "This story is absurd. It is offensive to Kyle Turley and Mike Martz. There is no truth to this story."

Despite missing the entire season with back woes, Turley has said he wants to return for the 2005 season. The seven-year veteran, who has ruled out a second surgery to correct his back problem, has no plans for now of retiring.

"Wanting to play has never been an issue," Turley said earlier this month. "I've given everything to this sport and dedicated myself to this, I think, as much, or in some cases more so, than most people. That's been the goal from Day One, to get back. To get back on the field."

From the time his back began to flare up again early in training camp this summer, Turley insisted he would retire rather than face another surgery. He said doctors have apprised him that, with proper posture, increased core strength and additional flexibility, his back in time will compensate for the disc problem.

How long that process will take, however, is not certain. Turley's goal is to be in camp but that aim might not be a realistic one.

"But if it takes [until] the middle of next season, then so be it," he said. "Or if it takes even the year after that, I'm going to make it back. I'm 29 years old. There's time. I'm going to make it back and play in the league."
Maybe Turley is just a "mickey mouse" RT.

Turley threatens Martz' life!

This is a prime example of why I don\'t put much stock in what a lot of Saints fans have to say.

Let\'s look back shall we?

Haz get\'s bashed by many Saints fans on this very site for showing Turley the door.

They say Haz treats players unfairly. Yep, that\'s what they said. Uh Huh!! Yep, I heard \'em.

They even criticized Has for getting rid of Ricky \"burn one for me\" Williams.

Even though those fans had nothing to go on they still bashed Haz.

Listen up folks....

Now you see how much those fans knew. They knew N-O-T-H-I-N-G !! Say it with me N-O-T-H-I-N-G !!

Turley going around threatening folks life. Ricky Williams traveling the world in search of the best pot know to man.

Oh, yeah, Haz didn\'t know what he was doing.

Now these SAME folks (you know who you are) are still playing GM and tyring to convince folks they know what they are talking about.

Anyone still buying what those guys are selling? Not me. And I never will.

Sell Ricky Williams that stuff. He\'ll smoke anything.

But I seriously wish we had some O-linemen with his on-field attitude and fire, of course without the sociopathic tendencies.

Turley threatens Martz' life!

look guys, martz is full of ****..... the guys has lost his mind...

turley was pissed because martz said he was stealing from the organization and was not really trying to get well, just sitting there collecting a check...... he said he was not even sure who turley was, so he left his home and drove to the stadium to confront him.... to me martz has always been off his rocker... do you really think turley would go i there and tell him he is going to kill him? this is coming from a guy who blamed his backup QB for his stupid playcalling the last game chandler played (in which there was only 10 run plays called).... they even say that he now denies that there was a confrontation....

the reason why turley left is cause he did not want to play for someone who is a whiner (aaron brooks).. he knew AB did not have any heart a couple years ago.....

TheJudge--

Hmmm. Well, the bad news is there are 2 teams Turley can NEVER play for again. The Rams and Saints.

The good news is he can maybe catch on with one of the other 29 teams.

But 3 stikes and he\'s out. Batteer UP !! And Turley steps to the plate......

So I get it. Turley is kinda nutz. But do us a favor and title this thread \"Discrediting another former Saints Player for making negative comments about the organization\" because that is really what this is about......right?
I\'ll title my posts any damn thing I want. If you don\'t like it, nobody is forcing you to read it.
Get over it dude.

LOL. Riiiight - while those other folks predicting 13-3 and a top 10 defense for the Saints and a number 1 offense were right on. Pretty ballsy of a guy who hasn\'t been right about just about anything in the last two years to talk smack about what other \"fans\" said.

Of course, the argument you\'re making remains entirely unsound as well. Turley being a nut-job doesn\'t make him wrong. You guys want to make this about Turley b/c he\'s an easy target and uses strong language (i.e. \"Mickey Mouse\"). Nevermind others in the media or other former players who have made similar comments. Nevermind the fact that all the signs point towards the same conclusion Turley made.

What is most hilarious to me is that three weeks ago this team WAS Mickey Mouse according to just about everyone on this board. According to you, Billy, Haslett needed to be fired after last season - shall I look it up? Three weeks ago every coach, front office manager, and half the players had to go. Now, we beat two teams with losing records and an Atlanta team that would be 3-11 instead of 11-3 with the cast it had on the field last week and all of sudden you guys were right all along. It\'s hilarious. What changed? The defense is still 32nd. The offense still sputters. Our record is still below .500. This is the same old Saints folks, and more importantly, these are the same old fans. My guess - the Saints will lose next week to the Panthers and there will be flocks of people on here talking about their late season surge, how maybe the team is finally putting it all together, and how things shouldn\'t really change. But next year, if Haslett can\'t make them real contenders, THEN he should be fired. To some of you, this should sound familiar - you\'ve heard it for three straight years.

I was actually hoping that we could get back around to

1. We need to get bigger in the middle
2. We need more speed on defense
3. Our locker room cancer, player X, has to be released
