Sean Payton on Sound FX NFLN
Sound bytes from Superbowl year, and one of the mantras that Payton keeps preaching to the offense in games and during practice is "Tempo! Tempo!" I remember Brees used to break the offense out of the huddle w a lot of tempo. O-linemen running to the line of scrimmage and Brees exuding a lot of energy. Sometimes the defense is caught offguard and are rushed to make their adjustments because of our tempo. Fast-forward to today. No more tempo. Brees breaks the huddle, O-line saunters to the LOS, and Brees casually gets into position. Maybe this isnt a big thing, but sometimes its the small things that make the difference between a SB winning team and all the others.

Re: Sean Payton on Sound FX NFLN
One thing I do remember from those years is if we got a completion or run over 20 yards, we used to go no huddle straight away, literally straight to the line, don't give the defense chance to line up and it used to have a snowball effect causing big play after big play.

Me? This year I like it when we go no huddle.
