Saints Sign LB Moise Fokou & Promoted CB Terrence Frederick

Saints place Brandin Cooks, Rafael Bush on injured reserve | ProFootballTalk

...The Saints signed linebacker Moise Fokou and promoted cornerback Terrence Frederick from their practice squad. New Orleans also signed safety Pierre Warren off the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.

The Saints waived running back Edwin Baker in addition to the injured reserve moves of Cooks and Bush to make room on the roster...

I like that Pierre Warren and Frederick played together a lot in pre-season. As someone mentioned there's probably some chemistry there. Couldn't hurt.

And it would not surprise me one bit to see Frederick get more playing time than Stanley Jean-Bustiste.

Is SJB that bad right now, he's aiming to be the Nick Toon on defense

Why? Because it was understood that he was a project and wouldn't play much if any his first year when he was drafted?!

Terrence Frederick hmm slot. we have seen him before

Moise Fokou yet another under sized ILB 6'1" 233 with as they say "Marginal instincts"???

ok i do not get it. i am unimpressed yet again

SJB is more work than Dixon? that is a huge concern and makes one wonder how big of a reach he was in the second. if this is the case a 4th rounder would have been a reach.

I understand the pick but I would have not gone that route in round 2.

Usual the saints have at least one draft pick that surprises you. to date zilch na da nothing. so far it appears a swing and a miss in all rounds. that includes cook. Cook has the Ingram multi pick label to carry on his back

Seriously? Cooks was in the talk for offensive rookie of the year until his injury...

Well Hagan, healthy, strong, good linebackers aren't laying around this time of year...

That's why, as you, I and others have advocated, Saints need to really make a commitment to drafting linebackers in the draft...

Considering their history, I'd just sign free agent CBs instead of drafting 'em...

Don't get me started with that SJB thing...

And y'all should really clean up your language on this thread...every other comment is "Fokou". For shame.

FA LB? K.J. Wright has my vote
FA CB? Byron Maxwell

How about stop messing around and get Darrelle Revis.

restructure Drew sign Jordan and Revis then go trade happy in the draft getting mult picks all over the board?

Jordan locked up
Revis locks down the opposite side of the field across from Lewis.
Wright takes over the other OLB position.

25 to 30 million. can be done. Drew is a large piece and there are more than a few you can trim and redo to get it done.

75% of the defensive issue solved. oh yeah the saints do not think this way.

i do not blame Cook so much as much as i blame SP for his use of Cook. let the guy be a WR not just a gimmick.

SP did the same thing with Ingram IMO.

you draft players use them right or at least make sure they fit you system.

I'm still worried but at least we're giving some young guns playing time. I wonder how long it will be before they throw SJB in there to be baptized by fire? Game experience is invaluable to a young player.....that and the coaches can better evaluate him and then coach up his weaknesses they've seen on film. Unfortunately that usually means we're already looking at next year.
