see i disagree there. it is never a no win situation. The personnel on this team is not that bad. matter of fact i have always like the core. Rob could not have walked into an easier job than following Spags. One eyed tailless monkey could have turned our ship around.

But right now it all rides on Rob to make it work given the players he has.

I expect the saints to bend but Rob needs to adjust so they do not break as much.

I in no way have given up hope but i will not let Rob slide one bit nor will i allow him to use the term WE to minimize his failures so freely.

"that's just the way it is". those words should never be said. that is what set me off. cop out statement no matter the context. if a player had said that people would raise more than one question about that player.

man up.

Needs to safety blitz more on those downs. Look at what Cleveland did to ATL yesterday on 3rd and longs. They murdered Ryan with those corner blitzes.
He is playing some type of Prevent (Cover 2 or 4) thats killing us. Ryan's calls are killing us.

Thought this myself. He is calling to much zone. Our cb's seem lost in a zone scheme. Stick to man coverage with the safety's over top.

Don't get me wrong Ryan is the culprit here because he is the DC but he was set to fail having to eat those 2 to begin with. I just wonder what a Bill Cower would say to Loomis or Payton if he wasn't allowed to bring in his own people as DC. Can't make chicken salad with chicken sh!t!! Those 2 should have been long gone. I do expect Ryan to be fired at the end of the season. I also wonder if we were ever going to transition into a 3/4 D in the first place. I think it's been a bunch of bullcrap. Either get a defense that gives us a chance to win or our window with Brees is done.
Yeah I really question if the 3-4 is the way to go for us. It is a huge personnel switch and it is not going well. You can't go cheap and run a 3-4 unless you've drafted well for years like Pittsburg. Looks at rosters like KC, Arizona, Baltimore or Washington that have the pieces in play. We have a long long way to go. I wonder if would be best to switch back to a 4-3 before more damage is done.
