We pretty much let them take big chunks of yards underneath keeping the clock moving backing people up avoiding the deep ball.

Our defense still sucks...

Offense played a perfect game mainly due to Kenny Stills, but that is what we have to do to win by 3 with this awful defense.

Networks switched for the final punt by us and then the last drive/2pt. I hate I missed a good performance by the Defense because that last few mnts looked like the Defense we have all come to hate. Gashing for yards followed by a bone head Vacarro out of bounds tackle.

Some stupid penalties by the Saints D to keep the Steelers in the game. They should have lost by a couple of TD's not a couple of points.

It felt like we nearly found a way to throw the game away and also, just look at Ben's passing yardage.

Having said all that its great to get the win so well done Saints, not many, if anyone gave us a chance in that game. PR had a good game on the defence which was good to see.

Not one pass to JG, didn't see that coming.

Just need the Cardinals to do us a favour and beat Atlanta and that would make this a great Sunday to be a Saints fan.

Ok! Having said we need the Cardinals to help us out, I have just checked the scoreline on NFL.com and the Falcons have already put 17 points on the Cardinals and there is still 2 minutes to play in the first quarter?????

Prevent defense and stupid penalties. Our version of prevent defense is easy 20 yds per play for opposing team.

After the game when asked by a reporter why graham didn't get targeted Brees said he didn't realize that graham hadn't gotten targeted because he was just paying attention to spreading the ball around not individual stats.
In the very next sentence he said "who would have thought that Still would have had 150 (or however many it was) yards" funny how he didn't realize he hadn't targeted Graham but could tell you EXACTLY how many yards Stills had.

We played ultra smegma defense in the last 5 minutes, including a bunch of stupid penalties that stopped the clock and added field position. It looked like no one on the defense wanted to get hurt making a futile effort.

It wasn't in doubt.

I was watching the Ravens Chargers game then switched back when they were doing the 2 point conversion thinking that we had blew the game when what i had thought was Lance Moore catching the winning touchdown.

The Saints were amazingly lucky today. Good thing Drew was on fire and threw zero picks. If Drew had thrown a pick 6 or an interception in our end of the field, at any point in the game, we would be sitting around groaning and moaning about the usual ugly defensive collapse right about now tonight. The defense gave up THREE scores in the 4th quarter. I wish the team good luck with playing like that against Atlanta or Carolina, both of whom we've lost games to in the final minutes, when Drew throws picks earlier in the game (Carolina in Carolina last year, and the season opener against Atlanta this year). You can call it garbage time or garbage points if you want, but Drew handed the Saints a 15 point lead late in the 3rd and our wonderful defense very nearly puked it away.

We dropped into a prevent with 9 minutes to go. Yes, it was ugly but its not as bad as it looks on paper.

Our defense played a mediocre game (an improvement) and our offense was practically flawless.

It's literally like they'd be happier if we did lose, this year I don't care how we win, any win is good enough for me.

The game was over after we scored to make it 35-16. Nothing that happened after that really counts. We played soft prevent, they got 2 scores and conversions. Big whoop.

We only lost to the Ravens last MNF by 7 points, but was that a close game? Of course not, they destroyed us. Same thing here. We pretty much whooped their butts and then gave up garbage time points to make it look close.

All this talk about how horrible our D was today. I must've watched a different game. They weren't perfect by no means today but they looked better than they have for most of the year. I swear some on here would complain if the sun rose in the west tomorrow.

Yeh I agree.

While we could have landed a heap more interceptions, we got 2 or 3 more than any other game this year.

Except for the last 2-3 minutes, where we put the cue in the rack (and the game was over), I thought the D held up pretty well.

Absolutely an improvement, but we shouldn't lose sight of Ben getting hurt and being off target completely until the 4th QTR. The only way our D looks average against good QBs is by them getting hurt (just like Rogers). Even when they get hurt they'll still throw for 400+ yards...

Big Bens throwing hand took at hit early on and he threw poorly the rest of the game. To me that was the game changer.
