I hate to say this, but....first thing I would do with the depth chart if I was Sean Payton, is cue up the coach's film of the end zone fight, from every angle, and watch it repeatedly with my staff, and see who exactly did what, and what went down. Anybody in a Saints uniform who started the fight or made the fight worse, I'd bench 'em and start the process of moving on -- cutting or trading, get rid of them. Anybody in a Saints uniform who played a role in giving up the touchdown on the previous play -- bench 'em too. Anyone who fought in the fight, but who stood up for themselves or a teammate in a reasonable fashion, that guy stays with a warning and a good talking to. Anybody who pulled people apart, who tried to stop it, or separated people, or tried to cool people down, that guy stays.

That whole thing was just garbage.

I'd send a message and release the overpaid defensive captain

Captains lead by example and all he does is talk trash whilst he's unable to back it up

Before the start of the season he said he would "Own" the falcons new LT, who then quickly drove Junior into the turf on every play

I have no issue with the fight. Cam should have gotten it worse IMO... I would be looking at that on film though, but I would be looking for the people that stood back and did nothing, because that type of non-aggression is killing this team. I promise you if the GW defenses were involved in the same altercation the bench would have emptied. Now, with the lack of fire and leadership no one cares.

Me either. Bad enough you are kicking our ass in our own house, but to have to watch you showboat about it also. Good penalty, no one in a Saints uniform threw a punch, take the 15 or offsetting or whatever it was.
The real tragedy is it didn't light the team up after.

Re: Depth chart - what would you change

Galette had 12 sacks last season. He hasn't handled success or his captain role as he should. Every season up to this one he's been a good player.

I have to think he'll be better next year.

Cut:
White
Bunkley
Hawthorne
Goodwin
Meachem
Hicks
Cadet

Add:
CB - no true #2 on the roster
ILB - starter to replace hawthorne
OLB - should have been butler, never filled that spot
NT -big body, rotate with Jenkins (hicks?)
DE - is hicks having a bad season or is he suited to NT?
SS - Vaccaro is a specialist. blitz w him. can't tackle worth a crap
WR - one mean SOB who FIGHTS for yardage
G - ready to start in 2yrs

Get a standout 3-4 NT for starters.
And build the defense around him

Re: Depth chart - what would you change

Main thing is we have to see what we have with Baptiste. Throw him in at #2 corner. Also need to keep developing Stills as a starting WR with Colston on the way out. We should start looking for somebody to replace Jahri Evans as well. He hasn't been any good since 2010.

Hawthorne and Goodwin need to ride the pine. Their backups (Lelito and Humber) are younger, stronger, better players. Let's find out if Cadet can take over the PT role. I've liked what I've seen from him on offense this year (not so much on returns, but his offensive contributions have been solid).

Not much we can do at safety. Vacarro stinks out loud but we don't have the bodies. Although I suppose we could move White to safety.

Hicks needs to be benched. He got fat and happy during the offseason. Jordan also got fat and happy but at least he is trying to turn it around most games. Hicks loafs around like he doesn't care. Jenkins sucks too, and Galette needs to learn a tough lesson. I would play Walker/Edebali/Jordan on the line and let the other DL guys rot on the bench.
