No NFL teams claimed former New Orleans Saints receiver Joe Morgan as he passed through waivers this week, according to the league transactions report on Wednesday.

Morgan, a fourth-year pro cut by the Saints on Tuesday, is now a free agent and may sign with any club.

I'm not shocked, but i'm a little surprised no one gave him a shot considering his ridiculous avg yds per touch. He's a big play threat...occassionally..

If they have done their homework they would know the risks. He isn't worth cutting someone from the 53 man roster to take a flier on a player that has 'reportedly' shown up for meetings intoxicated.

I think it's just too late in the season for anybody to really bring him in and have him be effective or make any impact. Maybe someone will possibly take a look at him next year.
