I only post this cause the Erikson had 3 years and 7.5 mil left on his contract the 49ers will pay. Plus they have like 29 mil in dead cap money they are paying to players no longer on the team. So if they can absorb the hit of firing their coach, why can't we? They won 2 games all year. Surely their attendance wasn't as high as ours. They haven't won a Superbowl in what, 9 or 10 years? They didn't make the playoffs last year. Noone likes their owner. So how can they have the ability to fire their coach and take the hit and we can't? Is it just Benson? What's the deal?

1. haslet don\'t need to be fired only Venturi & some position coaches like the lb, ol & condition coaches.

2. Benson don\'t have the money the owners in SF have to waste.

Some organizations expect to win, and win a lot. That\'s why a winning coach like Mooch got the boot. Maybe the deal is raw, but I\'ll always take an org. so intent on winning that they prematurely fire a coach over the won so scared to lose that it will hold on to one for far too long.

u know what erickson was set up for this. they knew they were going to be bad after all of the bs moves they made to stay competitive money wise. . so what do they do hire a coach they knew had a bad record his last time in the nfl. then u wait till he tanks and fire him. they will suck again next year. and ill be glad. i hate the entire org. but those guys played with heart even though they were just plain terrible and it wasntr because of thie coach. i hate the 49ers and i hope they suck it up forever. bunch of *****s

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?

Then why\'d they run off all their hall of famers and hire a burnt-out drunk in the 1st place?
