Kromer 2.0?

Ok he didn't make much of a case for my question last night but our line was elite while he was here. No we don't have the personnel we once had when he was coach but I think he had a hand in building it and it can be done again. After he left our offensive lines play deteriorated quickly.
We all know what Brees can do when protected and now we are seeing what happens when he is not. Brees longevity in this league is now directly proportional to how his line is protecting him. He cannot take more than a year or two of having to run for his life. He is good at dodging sacks but defenses don't need to sack him as long as they get pressure because if they do it consistently Brees WILL throw a pick.
They are about to run him out of Chicago. Who knows a change back to familiar scenery may help him. He knows the offense, the personnel and the playbook.
Its more of a hypothetical question but if available would you want him back?

We don't need a snitch. Especially if it is a coach.

Folks make mistakes and say/do stupid stuff all the time (I can't make it out of the house before I do 12 of these on a daily basis). The Bears organization is a Train Wreck right now. The stress is on Kromer to repeat last year's successes on offense and he got out of line. He humbled himself and asked for forgiveness...what more can you ask a man to do when he ----'s up?

Kromer held his own in the wake of 2012's idiocy here in New Orleans, and he did a very admirable job under Payton as the O-line Coach. It seems that Kromer is a high-character guy who can have longer, sustainable success in an assistant coaching role (i.e. o-line coach) than the HC or OC role. Payton is loyal to a fault to folks, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Kromer back here in some smaller role if he leaves Chicago.

There is a video on bleacher report where Jason Cole alleges that he leaked info about the Saints when he was acting head coach during Payton's suspension. Said he's developed a reputation as a "repeat offender." If that's true, and I don't know that it is, then no one is going to want to hire him for fear that he would leak info about his new team.

I would love to bring back Dennis Allen. No interest in Kromer. His success was tied to the fact he had Evans and Nicks in their primes, and Brees' pocket awareness kept him from being sacked.

I think he's a good coach just stuck in a crappy situation. Honestly going from the man Brees is to Cutlers baby back attitude who couldn't call him out?

If true, big ol' NO. If not, pretty much indifferent. Didn't burn down the world with that offense & o-line up there in Chicago this year...did a little last year, but got exposed this year.

I like it. Let him get back to where he was successful.

Re: Kromer 2.0?

I'm not sure he would even want to come back. Why do people think he would? I didn't get the impression that he left under the best of terms, I think he kinda left for a reason, like he'd run his course, and mainly because the opportunity to advance was there in Chicago. Ask yourself, why would he want to go backwards with his career, instead of forwards? Would Brees leave the Saints to be a backup QB somewhere else? Would Payton leave the Saints to become an OC somewhere? You generally don't go backwards in these things. You generally go up the ladder, or laterally, or not at all.
