Bailey Leon, a young cancer patient who was honored by New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton during the Bears game Monday night, has died.

Leon was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma when she was 7 and has been battling the disease for several years. Neuroblastoma is a rare form of cancer that attacks the nerve cells and mostly occurs in young children.

Payton visited with Leon several times at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, and was touched by her story.
