Now that the season is over who do you NOT want back?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Evans has been one of my favorite players on the team since we drafted him but he has looked terrible all year long. Goodwin is just a shell of his former self. I'm willing to give Grubbs another year but ...

Evans has been one of my favorite players on the team since we drafted him but he has looked terrible all year long. Goodwin is just a shell of his former self. I'm willing to give Grubbs another year but I think replacing those guys is the key to the whole offence. We got a great QB, good WRs and TEs and a RB that finally shows what he can do.

Re: Now that the season is over who do you NOT want back?

Jordan - for financial reason
Evans - father clock caught up with
Grubbs - pass protection is avg at best
Colston - too many drops
M Ingram - have to lose someone cause of those high contracts and holes in OL have to be address
P Haralson - we have players that need to play more snaps
Hawthorne - I am expecting them to address mlb in draft
P Robinson - a free agent I don't expect to put on top priority to sign
Secondary coach - need someone who can better prepare the db's

Goodwin - how he started over Lelito, I have no idea

In sports in general i believe that that you either need

a) A constant turnover of role players
b) Regular changes of coaches

Players stop listening after a while to the same voice.
Look how many of the teams 'main' players have been on the team a number of years or even rejoined the team from elsewhere.Every team has watched Payton/Brees for nearly 10 years now and often know whats coming. Things need shaken up both sides of the ball. This is especially true in the modern NFL when most teams can put up 25pts on a fairly regular basis.
That's an equation for epic failure Regular changes of coaches why would you ever

We lose money if we trade him. We do not save one single penny.

Jordon, graham and Jr aren't going anywhere because of the cap hits. We made our bed.
I give Jorden a pass. He didn't just forget how to play and has been solid. I think he still has a ceiling. I want to draft a QB.

Don't cut someone until you're sure you can upgrade.
In some cases yes, but some of these players are like a flesh eating disease or gang Greene you have to cut em' off because it's not getting any better with em'

I think we should trade Jimmy Graham if he was 100% this year

Re: Now that the season is over who do you NOT want back?

Graham has had a **** year like everyone else. I wouldn't be rage trading him. He is the 2nd best TE in the game.

We need to draft on the O-line and I am keen to see a fully fit defensive unit next year.

I don't think it is time to panic and some subtle changes will go a long way to helping us take the NFC South next year.
