The problem is when you look at his resume. The longer he stays with a team, the more his defense regresses. It's hard to ignore that.

Re: Should we fire RR?

No. Now he does have the track records at DAL, CLE, and OAK going against him for sure, but there was a lot of this season's mess that was out of his hands. For starters is that "worst starting field position vs best starting position" stat. And 2nd the Front Office failed to beef up the middle of the defense up front which got exposed and we got manhandled in the run game. RR couldn't do crap about teams just cramming it down our throats even when we had 8-9 guys in the box. We got Old Schooled.

And today's mess was not on him, either...7 points in 3 quarters against 32nd is pathetic.

He certainly made his fair share of mistakes, but I don't believe they are all unemployment worthy.

Greg McMahon & Joe Vitt, on the other hand, needed to be on the very first bus out of Louisiana some time ago...

Im unsure if he is the rightman or not but the issue runs deeper than Rob. Not much a DC can do if the pass rushers can't shed blocks

Re: Should we fire RR?

lets see what is one the market.

SF? well that is a staff loaded and knows it's talent and has a history to back it up

Jets? Yet another unit that has a better history

sorry if talent is available from any of these two group of coaches you have to make the move. that is just a few teams that have a proven track record that with out a doubt are better than anything Rob can boost about

he was ranked at the bottom of my wish list when we signed him, In no way do i have any loyalty to the guy.

But I have to give him credit were credit is do. he has worked his way all the way to the top of my no big lose list. ok he was always up there but now he has a firm grasp on the position.

he is #1 in my book.

Re: Should we fire RR?

Once you get on that coaching-merry-go-round, it's hard to get off, just sayin' ... one quick fix follows another and nothing really changes. You gotta' ask yourself, "What will a new DC give me that I don't already have?". If the answer is something tangible, then go for it. .

Re: Should we fire RR?

Atlanta had the EXACT gameplan as in week 1, nothing different. Beat us with the same crossing routes, underneath passes and in our softzone. Every DB is 10 Yards of the receiver only able to catch up.

So horrible gameplanning!

Re: Should we fire RR?

We had the most talented team in Saints history and will likely finish 6-10.

Its pretty obvious someone needs to be fired. We upgraded talent on a defense that finished 4th last year and this year we're near dead last in every relevant defensive category.

You fire everyone.

We have to fire him. I can't see how we keep him.
