Falcons get last laugh against big-talking Saints

Harry Douglas, the gritty slot receiver, offered a quick commentary directed at a particular New Orleans Saints player, cornerback Keenan Lewis.

Last week, Lewis provided the Falcons with banner bulletin-board material by proclaiming, "We're definitely going to give them their funeral."

Uh-oh.

Lewis missed an extensive portion of Atlanta's 30-14 victory because of dehydration issues that left him in the locker room after halftime, receiving fluids through an IV. The absence was not lost on Douglas.

"I don't understand how (No.) 28 is going to talk (smack) to the media before the game and he didn't even want to be out there," Douglas roared as he came through the tunnel. "He quit in the middle of the game!"

it's an embarrassment to win the division at 7-9. Im glad we wont be doing this and getting a higher draft pick option.

We deserve to get clowned and humbled. Team had it coming all year long. This offseason will be time to shut up and start working.

fans should not allow the saints to forget how bad it is in saints fans to take a sweep by the falcons. i think i would pull my hand away and brush back my hair if i was to shake anyone with the saints right now.

Want to talk about role reversals..roddy white use to talk mega crap in the past and we beat them every time, now we are tge dummies talking crap and getting beat. Seems like next year we just need to stfu and play.

Everyone always talks about Payton and Brees' awesome series records against the Falcons, but look at the most RECENT outings between the two. They are 3-3 in the last six games. That's not owning them or having their number or ringing their bell anymore, if you ask me.... I think both Saints fans AND players need to cool with the smack talk from here on out. The years when Payton and Brees truly owned the Falcons were a long time ago now. Three years is a lifetime in football.
