PS - Tobias, I think you\'re right. The thing the offense lacks most is consistency (and leadership). I\'ve argues for years that this offense really needs a smart QB who can distribute the ball quickly, and who knows his role. Use the Favre approach - just make first downs. I think that would work far better than the athlete we got back there now.

Who was NE's QB before Brady?

Should we draft a QB this year? If so, who and what round? I\'m interested in the answers we\'ll see on this. I have an idea of who I\'d like to see brought in, but I\'m not sure he\'ll be there when we pick in the 2nd round.
... with the talent this offense has (Deuce, Stecker, Karney, Horn,etc.. ) I would try to get a solid veteran who understands the game, makes few mistakes, still has some gas in the tank, and knows how to be a leader... there are a couple out there that can be had for cheap...

... call me crazy, but I would love to see Trent Dilfer in B&G... he would be in a situation here where his job would be not to make mistakes, and feed the ball to the playmakers (Horn, Deuce)...

..and, before you call me crazy, think about it for a minute
Dilfer as a back-up....right??

Who was NE's QB before Brady?

Viewing past drafts from Haz and Co., if a QB is selected, he will most likely come from Ohio State or Georgia. They seem to love those schools. I wouldn\'t be surprised at all to see David Greene drafted in the 2nd round. Then that would prove to me that the 2nd round is where the Saints always screw it up.

i agree with u tobias but not on dilfer. he has done nothing in his career. the superbowl he won was not because of him or the o. their d was just ridiculous. but ur idea is solid.

I wouldn\'t mind seeing Brady\'s backup come down to New Orleans. I think Rohan would be a great fit!!

.. but that\'s just the thing... Dilfer knows he can\'t win games on his own... he knows he needs to utilize the talent around him to win... he knows what is expected of him, that is not lose the game or put his team on a hole...

..obviously it doesn\'t have to be Dilfer... I happen to like Dilfer, and I still think he fot a raw deal in Baltimore.. but you do see what I am saying? A QB who knows he has to utilize the talent around him to win, and knows how to use it... a lil\' character wouldn\'t hurt either...

... there are a couple other QB\'s out there that I wouldn\'t mind seeing in B&G... off the top of my head I can see Kitna, Dilfer, heck even Flutie ... obviously they wouldn\'t be the future, but for the next 1-2 years, could give the Saints some stability and veteran leadership at QB, and a better shot at reaching higher places, with the added incentive that they will teach the rookies...
