I just read Amari's comment

He said he didn't like the city because of the smell, not that he didn't like the saints.

That's such a dumbass thing to say, just parroting something he's heard a million times so it must be true. If he had been like "you know, it smells bad on Bourbon and Canal Sunday morning sometimes because all the tourists mess the place up" then I'd have a little respect for him.

I can't tolerate ignorance and ignorant people.

Yep, you're not down there for the fragrance, ... maybe he's just a little more sensitive than the other football players,.

Is Atlanta planning to get him? They already have JJ and White. Where is Cooper gonna line up? Its not easy getting three top receivers to play well. And Atlanta needs to work on the oline.

Brandon Scherff.

They could easily draft DE Shane Ray.

Re: I just read Amari's comment

This guy's gonna' draw a lot of attention on draft day. Doesn't solve the interior O/L problem, but he'd definitely have Drew's back, :).

Brandon Scherff Highlight - Youtube

He is actually better suited to play OG. He'll be long gone before we pick and we can thank the meaningless win at tampa for that...

He's currently the 6th ranked player in the draft. He'd be gone before we picked at #9 anyway.

Saints are scheduled to pick at no. 13...

Re: I just read Amari's comment

I like Cooper. He was Bama's #1 threat, had a RB throwing to him, and he still produced. But, for the Saints, I would rather have a guy like Thompson at OLB. Just did a mock at fanspeak.com.

1. OLB Thompson - Impact starter
2. ILB Perryman - Impact starter
3. CB Johnson - Starter
4. C Dismukes - Starter
5. TE Koyack - All around TE. Will do the dirty work
6. DT Surratt - Stout run defender
7. OT Thompson - Massive RT given the shot may beat out Strief

Re: I just read Amari's comment

Please, no WRs in the top rounds. We need a LB, obviously. Actually, at least 2. Plus, they have the lower bust rate in the 1st (than DL, WR, DB). Go with the odds for once, Saints front office.

This is the year we must NAIL our draft selections.
LB, CB are my top two.

Dont be silly, the Saints get comp picks
There isnt enough to go around after Baltimore and the 49ers get around half dozen between them each year.

We would be picking at number 8 where ATL is, they obviously would have the tie breaker for beating our ass twice.

And yes he is sixth overall, but that doesn't mean every team takes the BPA approach, many teams draft by need. I have seen 3 different mock drafts that have him going 10th to the Rams.

There are many more players to be had at 13, especially on Defense where we need it the most.

I agree.

Hope they address CB in FA and grab some stud for the front 7 with this #13 pick, this draft seems to be deep on pass rushing talent.

I've read its very deep in OG's and D-line. YEAH BABY!!!

We're gonna have some great prospects available every time we pick.

The Vikings did just fine when they had Carter, Moss and Jordan(Cam's dad) at WR. I think they set the record for offensive production at the time.

Re: I just read Amari's comment

I don't care what anyone tells me. I've never been a believer in the Amari Cooper hype, and I'm not concerned if he likes the smell of New Orleans. He's not the first college receiver to have the ball thrown to him 1,000 times and compile some statistics. Nothing about the guy jumps out at me. I'm not saying he's bad, I just don't think he's near as good as people think he is. Similar to a guy like Michael Crabtree.

Who is Jordan? Serious question, as I have zero memory of any receiver named Jordan who was any good. I remember it being Moss, Carter and Jake Reed. Reed had been a thousand yard receiver but was sort of at the tail end of his career when Moss got there.

There are many reasons. While urine and vomit are commonly blamed, it is soured spilled beer, pre-pickup garbage with lots of foodstuffs including seafood carcasses and an antiquated sewage system (this is a 300 year old city we are talking about) that are the major factors. But it doesn't always smell bad. It is only at certain times and it is something that you even get use to when it does occur.
