I agree with you, but in their mind that **** does not compute. Equality through exception. Have you ever watched a woman try to reason something? Women are crazy, no ****, man. I mean they really are.

Here is a good story, and it is true. I was recently working with a group of women. There was only one other man in the entire group. During a discussion one of the girls replied to her friend "I would have smacked the **** out of him." So I thought this would be a good test group. (I liked them all, they were cool as co-workers) I sat near 4 of the women. I said I have been slapped by two women in my life, but have never put my hands on one. How many of you have slapped or hit a man? 4 for 4. Each of them raised their hand. True story. Not an ounce of embarrassment, matter fact it was more a joke and there was pride there.

Re: Junior Galette Arrested

It is beginning to look like this will all get thrown out. There were FOUR witnesses that all say Junior did nothing to the girl. She refused to leave his premises and brandished a knife. This was recorded.

Move along.

No. Don't move along. Yell. Scream. Raise three shades of hell. This woman, assuming she lied, should be made to suffer in JUST THE SAME WAY she would have him suffer had he been guilty. That's the only was to stop the abuse of the system.

But I'm wondering if a possible suspension triggers a clause in the contract that would make Galette's $12.5 million roster bonus non-guaranteed. Or at the least, if the Saints can recoup some of the money.

Suspensions tied to potential bonuses are included in some NFL contracts. It wouldn't surprise me if Galette's deal possessed an out clause to protect the franchise.

Junior Galette's arrest once again calls into question his maturity level: Larry Holder | NOLA.com

Hopefully guaranteed doesn't always necessarily mean fully guaranteed.

Hopefully there is a clause in the contract stating: If you do anything overly retarded like "beat up a woman" your contract is void! No deal!
You are correct and the Saints likely wrote it as a roster bonus so they can convert it to signing bonus and spread it out. A signing bonus can only be spread over five years, so often teams write these guaranteed roster bonuses which then are converted to signing and move money further out. Either way, the Saints would absorb the whole amount if he is cut.

I dont know all the facts but the story sounds a lil fishy too me. to be honest i dont think it will go no further than perhaps a fine.
Trust me he's already paid, and if it turns out he did nothing - and it appears his phone video and FOUR witnesses will confirm it -- he's already had to endure the press, and for a man in his occupation that matters. He's already had to bond himself out of jail.

And nothing happens to the accuser. This is wrong on every level one can imagine, and yet women do it (and get away with it) all day every day.

I agree, SaintFan. These charges are serious, and can be abused.
There should be consequences when one cries wolf, if it is beyond a
shadow of doubt there was abuse.

I wonder if a player announces he has a terminal disease, and one month
to live would we immediately begin discussing cap money?

I don't see how the business discussions of it mean that people don't care about the personal players involved.

If a player dies, should we cancel the season out of respect? Or should we pay respects and then move on.

If a key player died tomorrow you can bet the front office would and should be focused on what to do because of it. It doesn't mean they don't care about what happened.

Re: Junior Galette Arrested

I agree or at least I get where Skymike is coming from. If we don't like the player we get rid of the player, but the way people piled on in this thread hoping to use the likely fact that this woman LIED in a VERY SERIOUS WAY about this man as a means to an end really caught me the wrong way too.
