Good for him!

And good for us too, we need some new blood in the scouting department.

Agreed!

I honestly don't know his true role for us, but if he was in charge of scouting he's responsible for a lot of busts, but also maybe responsible for the small school finds like colston, strief, and evans. If we get better at drafting due to different scouting info this could end up being a good thing.

I am sure some will be thrilled, but I'm not sure this is a good thing. Without knowing the exact structure of the scouting department, I would say that all those low-round picks and UDFA's that we consistently find are probably in large part because of Pace. Anybody can scout the top 2 rounds.

So who's out there to replace him?

Exactly, i feel since he was so highly praised he found our small school guys for us. But could also be responsible for some busts we've had as well. This makes me believe that Mickey was more of a numbers guy than the guy who finds most of the talent and decides who comes to Nola

What proven UDFAs are great that still play for us outside PT?

Khiry Robinson, Glenn Foster, Tyrunn Walker. Edebali, Pierre Warren, Lelito, Griffin, Josh Hill, Travaris Cadet just in the last 2 years. All contributors. I'm sure you will say they are not "great" but most of them have plenty of potential with more playing time and/or have already been solid contributors one way or another. Probably more that I haven't thought about. Point is you need those picks and signings to work out so you can fill out the roster with solid players who don't cost much. I'd say the Saints have done maybe a better job than any team in the league except maybe the Patriots with that.
