Super Bowl Wins-1

XLIV-2009-10 With New Orleans Saints (Defeated Indianapolis Colts 31-17)

The little gunslinging playpen in New Orleans that Drew Brees is accustomed to seeing these days did not start there. It started in Purdue in the late 1990s when he attended.

Brees took the Boilermakers on a Big Ten tear. While everybody else was still in three yards and a cloud of dust mode when it came to game planning, Brees took a Jim Chaney innovative offense and just threw it all over the field. The result was 104 total touchdowns in Big Ten play and taking the Boileremakers on a very successful run in the process.

Sure, Brees did not win any Big Ten Championships while he was at Purdue, but he had that team in the Top 25 conversation consistently, and he obviously took the way he achieved his success and applied it to the NFL. The result is what we have seen the past nine years in New Orleans.
