Sean Payton's Loyalty to His Friends is Hurting the Saints

With all due respect to Mr. Underhill’s observation, I personally believe that the biggest difference between the two teams at this moment (besides the Patriots having won 3 more Super Bowls) is that New England head coach Bill Belichick would not even hesitate to fire one of his coaching assistants in a split nanosecond, if he thought they weren’t getting the job done. That is no exaggeration.

I haven't seen BB fire a lot of coaches, am I wrong? If this guy is going to say something like that shouldn't he provide examples of firings the Pats have made that he doesn't think we would? I think BB has the same type of loyalty.

I would like to see Greg take his act somewhere else, and BJ needs to go too

Vittt, IDK, I mean I haven't seen **** from our LB's but not sure how much of that is him or not. really dont

I think they read my mind. Vitt stinks and has everywhere, but remains here, why? Paytons snitch or has something they don't want to get out is what I think. He would be a joke anywhere else, period!! Him being here alone tells me Payton is to loyal. Another thing Payton does is hold onto players that are way past their prime, Vilma is the perfect example, 3 years to long. Loyalty can only go so far as a head coach before it does start to hurt or even kill a team. Another season of 7-9 and we might see how loyal Benson is.

Vitt is the coach that does it all and that maybe the issue. he does to much and he might be spread thin.

loyalty? how about to many coaches left angle. SP always lets coaches try else where much easier than what BB does. he fights to keep the guys till he has a replacement lined up and ready to go. that is the biggest difference i see in the two coaches.

I believe the Pats have stability AND talent in the coaching staff.

Saints? We've lost more coaches in the last 4 years than most.

Not sure what Vitt does... obviously I am not in the locker room but watching games from my couch as well as the stands I can say I have never seen Vitt talking/coaching on the field. The only time he shows up is when Payton needs someone to yell at.

Coaches rarely leave and the only ones who get fired are the DCs.

Payton has been through 6 DCs and no change has been made to the positional coaching staff... Vitt, Greg and Bill are only around because they are Payton's 'boys'.

If you are going to be loyal be loyal to winners not losers.

Joe Vitt was caught on camera stealing medication and Payton still didn't get rid of him... The guy's not going anywhere.
