Interesting Facts You Probably Didn’t Know About the New Orleans Saints Coaching Staff
 

With the New Orleans Saints looking to wipe away the misfortune of 2014’s abysmal 7-9 season, change was needed.

The team has made some major strides to address their coaching situation, and recently announced a host of changes on February 11. By having a staff of twenty-four coaches over various aspects of the team on the payroll, it feels like there’s little to no excuses for having this team command discipline and set the tone for the 2015 season.

With a combination of new and old faces, I’ve performed some digging to find out some interesting ‘fun facts’ about some of the respective members of the coaching staff.

Here's something I do know: Vitt, Johnson and McMahon are buddies of Coach Payton. Due to that loyalty and the suspension of 2012, Payton no longer has the balls to make tough decisions on and off the field. Before 2012, he would yell at any player (Brees too) and the coaches. The play calling was aggressive as well. NOW it seems like Payton doesn't have that fire anymore and is just cashing Benson's pay checks. Only person I saw him scream at was Rob Ryan and the play calling looked predictable and passive.

Vitt hasn't developed a single linebacker drafted since he got here. Johnson's line regressed horribly last year and McMahon's special teams unit hasn't had a return TD since 2011 YET all 3 still are employed by the Saints.

Come on Payton, find your balls again and lead this team to another championship minus your drinking buddies
