I don't like this move. Pierre is still more valuable player than any other RB on our roster.

We all know (if true) he's time is coming up. Pt has been a fan favorite for many years. However like I said I am a Saint fan, Not a PT, Brees, Jr, Jordan, and the list goes on and on. I want what is best for this team. Yes I have many favorites but, it's time to rebuild this team at all positions. Especially on both lines, and Lb's. My opinion

I have read where Loomis/Payton have, to almost a fault, relied too much on LOYALTY in the past. Well, it seems loyalty is out the front door, and it is now time to pay the piper.

They have almost $23mm to cut to get under the salary cap and this is but one of several surprises to come. IMHO. Gone will be Goody, maybe Grubbs, and Evans is on a banana peel! If I were TE Watson, I would be expecting a call from the FO. Colston and Meachem? Ring, ring! The Saints were 7 and 9 last year.

The deal with Drew several years ago is coming back to bite where it hurts. Not saying he is not worth every penny, but stating his deal is not going to be restructured is daunting!

More changes to come on defense!

PT was a great Saint and one of my favorite players. Humble, hard worker, never went down on first contact, played with class, terrific teammate. PT ran the screen better than any player of his era. He was a big part of helping us win a Lombardi Trophy. He will be missed but not forgotten.

No more PT23, don't like the sound of that at all!

I guess they have their reasons but I think they are making a big mistake letting this guy go.

He always had a great attitude on and off the field and he always gave 100% effort for 100% of the time.

I can see this one coming back and biting us in the a**!!!!!

I just hope the FO know what they are doing. :-(

Remember when it was said we may have cut too much veteran leadership last year, we just lost a whole lot of that again in PT

But watch the waste of space on defense will be back (PRob, Junior, Lofton, White) and this team will be 8-8,7-9 again next year plus Payton lost his balls since he can't seem to push the team or fire his "drinking" buddies
