Saints: Haslett poised to make OC switch

Although several teams have either interviewed or expressed interest in Saints' offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy, Saints' head coach Jim Haslett appears to be ready to move in a different direction. While McCarthy has been interviewing with other teams, Haslett spoke with Dolphins' assistant head coach Marc Trestman regarding an undisclosed position on his staff, according to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. Browns' interim head coach Terry Robiskie is also said to be on Haslett's short list of replacement candidates.

Some of the Saints struggles should fall on McCarthy, but it didn't help matters that he was stuck trying to make up for a defense that ranked No. 27 in points allowed this season. McCarthy is under contract to the Saints through February 15, but it certainly appears that he will be coaching elsewhere next season.

Exactly it also didn\'t help that Mcarthy\'s offense couldn\'t score a TD in the first quarter of a game either! While I like Mcarthy\'s offense his play calling sucked big time! Every time we had a big play it was usually followed up by a time out cause Mcarthy couldn\'t get a play in on time.

saints 78 u put the nail on the head. you cant score in the first quarter nearly the enitre year well guess what get going. our o this year seemed worse then it has in a while. and matter of fact to come to think of it it has never been that great since our 6-2 start a couple of years ago.
