Exoneration of Belichick suggests Payton shouldn’t have been punished, either

The full-season suspension of Saints coach Sean Payton in 2012 suggests that Patriots coach Bill Belichick should have been disciplined in some way for his role in #DeflateGate. Based on the justification of Payton’s punishment, either Belichick knew about the scheme and should have stopped it or he didn’t know, should have known, and should have stopped it...

So why was SP punished and not BB? Because the NFL was being sued for concussions and needed to send their sacrificial lamb to the slaughter. They're not being sued for underinflated balls.

And we cannot change it.

And it's likely no punishment will ever match the level of unjustness levied by Heir Goodell upon the 2012 & 2013 & 2014 & 2015 New Orleans Saints franchise.

That said, I've chosen to move on knowing that one day, somehow, his holiness will crumble under his own ego and vindication will one day arrive in the form of another Lombardi Trophy hoisted from a float as it rolls through the French Quarter.

Nah..... SP should now sue RG in light of the BB developments. He is owed millions... And RG can afford to pay up.

I just don't understand why Payton, Loomis and Benson just took the punishments without fighting. I get they didn't have a union to back them up but Payton and Loomis could have filled a lawsuit against Roger and the NFL. Benson was completely silent on the issue. I just don't understand why they just took it lying down. At least the players stood up for themselves.
