Really only Delvin Breaux and Brandon Browner, since Lewis, barring injury, has the starting job on one side all but locked up. Swann and P.J. Williams will likely compete as nickel corners... and IMHO Dixon, unless he shows real brilliance in TC, is the odd man out here.

He is 50-50 to even make the team. Sad but true.

Agree. We'll keep at most 6 CB's, and maybe only 5 since we have some safeties that can play NB

Locks
Lewis
Browner
PJ Williams

Fighting for the next 2 or 3 spots

1. Delvin Breaux
2. Kyle Wilson
3. Brian Dixon
4. Terrence Frederick
5. Stanley Jean-Baptiste
6. Damian Swann
7. AJ Davis

Based on the very little we know now, SJB may be on the outside looking in. In fact Swann may even be above SJB since he's versatile, athletic and from all accounts an on-field coach.

We're probably gonna cut a couple CB's that can play in this league.

Delvin Breaux should make it as a boundary corner, assuming his game translates from the CFL to the NFL... and I think it will. P.J. Williams should have been drafted earlier. And the Saints traded up for Damian Swann, so they obviously saw something in him. I think they keep 6 CBs, with SJB being one of them if he shows anything at all (they will give the former 2nd rounder every chance to show his skills). Brian Dixon, AJ Davis, and Terrence Frederick probably will be let go... and either P.J. Williams or Damian Swann will wind up on the PS, the other will make the final 53.

Of course, all of this could change during TC.

Re: Jean-Baptiste is looking to make an impact

7 CB's? i say we are going to see less of that 3 safety looks

5 Locks
Lewis
Browner
PJ Williams

6. Damian Swann - The CB that will reduce the number of safeties we keep is

5. Stanley Jean-Baptiste - saints do not give up on draft picks from round 3 and up to a fault at times

Fight for the last spot maybe two Swann is solid at safety also. special teams?

1. Delvin Breaux local inside favorite for sure and like Swann is no stranger to safety
4. Terrence Frederick
7. AJ Davis

LONGGGGGGGGGGG SHOTSSSSSSSSSS
2. Kyle Wilson - he aint all that. he needs a miracle turn round
3. Brian Dixon - instincts were about as bad as i have seen. worse than SJB. SJB appears to be a book issue.

Re: Jean-Baptiste is looking to make an impact

I just can't believe that we will cut starting caliber players. Last year we had one good CB. Soon the waiver wire will be littered with our cast offs who will go to another team and get playing time. Wow. What a difference a year makes.

I think the coaching staff feels differently about Dixon. Plus he played well on ST
and not to bring up the 'should we have tanked against Tampa' debate again, but I do know SJB should have been in the lineup that day:
total plays for the year for SJB: thirty-eight, and 30 of those were ST. How bad must you be in practice to only see 8 snaps all year?
