Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro out with minor hamstring injury
 

During the first day of Saints minicamp Tuesday, Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro left the field with a trainer after appearing to injure himself during a drill.

Vaccaro was sitting out again Wednesday, but the good news is that his injury doesn't appear to be serious.

Vaccaro has played in 29 games, including 28 starts, since the Saints took him with the 15th overall pick in 2013. However, along with fracturing his ankle towards the end of his rookie season, he also suffered a torn hamstring early in the year. He also revealed to Triplett recently that he was battling a hamstring injury during the 2014 season, when he notched two interceptions and 74 tackles in 15 games.

The Saints secondary dealt with a myriad of injuries last season, especially at safety, as Jairus Byrd (four games), Rafael Bush (10 games) and Vinnie Sunseri (nine games) all played less than a full season. Entering 2015, the unit has been looking forward to a healthy campaign.

Isn't that why sucked last year? It came out later he played lame most of the season.

Kenny Phillips and Vinny S ... come on down :p . The door has been left open for you. I'm hoping Kenny V can make a healthy recovery but we need a baller at the position to help this team win.

As one of the OP's stated earlier, those hammy's can linger for weeks, sometime months.
