...The Saints shoved two more rookies with a fifth-round flavor into several first-team snaps Wednesday. Defensive tackle Tyeler Davison and cornerback Damian Swann jumped into action during two-minute team drills and at other points. Swann found time on the outside and at the nickel spot.

"One of the things we've tried to do throughout the OTAs and the minicamp is not get set in the ones, the two, the threes," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "So you're seeing a mixture of rotations that we're purposely trying to accomplish...

...(TE Josh) Hill showed signs of why the Saints have so much faith in him this season. He hauled in pass from Drew Brees on an intermediate route during team drills in practice much to the liking of Brees. Hill also completed the only successful two-minute drill for the offense with a touchdown reception from Ryan Griffin. Griffin made the play happen by looking off Ramon Humber to help create space for Hill in the middle of the field...

love turn over time for the battles it brings during the camps. But man o man do i hate the anxiety that it brings with all its uncertainty

New Orleans has been openly sorting through veteran tight end prospects by hosting Jermaine Gresham and reportedly putting in a waiver claim on Tim Wright. One tight end on the roster, little by little, has compiled a solid résumé during this offseason.

Undrafted rookie Jack Tabb picked up a couple of nice receptions during team drills Wednesday. Tabb beat Dannell Ellerbe on a crossing route during team drills for a first-down reception from Luke McCown. Later, Tabb made another catch on a similar route by beating linebacker Henry Coley for a pass connection with Garrett Grayson.

As of now, the chief competitors for the No. 3 spot are Tabb and Orson Charles.

Who the heck is this Tabb guy?

10/07/13 - North Carolina's Jack Tabb will be suspended for the first half of next week's game against No. 13 Miami following his ejection in the weekend loss at Virginia Tech. Tabb is a tight end who started at linebacker against the Hokies and played both ways Saturday. But he was ejected with 4 minutes left for throwing a punch during a kickoff return.

Either that or he's just a dumb ass. Don't help your team much sitting in the locker room.
