Former New Orleans Saints coach Dick Stanfel dies at 87

In Week 12 of the Saints' infamous 1-15 season in 1980, he replaced Dick Nolan, who was fired after a listless 27-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

In Stanfel's first day on the job, Derland Moore and Don Reese waged a wild fight in the locker room that former Saints trainer Dean Kleinschmidt compared to "the kind of fight they must have had in those wild west saloons."
