McNown needs to be gone.
Grayson is not accurate and is devoid of touch. Serious work in progress. Hightower and Murphy both make the squad. 5 WR's only. Had hopes for Tull. Will be cut. Same for Coley. When the Saints play man, receivers get by them. S. Anthony just has not impressed me. Safeties are invisible. Joe Morgan still has an attitude. (Bad). Hocker nailed the 53 yarder. Coleman catches with his body. Won't serve him well. The offense will have to control the clock and win games. Just no play makers on defense. The ball will have to bounce their way this season. |

Just got home from game. If we thought our D would be improved, we were very wrong. D will be our Achilles heal again. Lewis was getting worked over so bad I couldn't believe it was him. No pressure again except for Kikaka(sp?) on back to back plays. One bright spot, Murphy. Man he looks good, very shifty.

Pretty disappointing game from the Saints. Not worried about the offense at all, when Brees is in the offense looks good if not great. However, the defense is a whole other story. I think our biggest issue might be the secondary again this year and we are way too talented there to have that be the issue.
Not a single defensive back has looked good all preseason. For every good play they make another bad play is right behind it. I am not sure what to make of this team. If I were to judge them by the way the defense played I would say it's an 8-8 season at best, offense performs slightly better but the defense is just as bad. This might be the first time in over 10 years I don't put some serious cash on the team to win it all... |
