I guess the Saints have enough RBs; I thought he played well in the pre-season.
The New Orleans Saints have terminated the contracts of running back Tim Hightower and reserve offensive lineman Mike McGlynn and placed rookie outside linebacker Davis Tull on the injured reserve list, according to the NFL transactions report. The Saints also signed defensive back Don Jones, fullback Toben Opurum and receiver Seantavius Jones from the team's practice squad to the active roster. Don't know much about Don Jones but Toben and Seantavius are pretty decent special teams players.

Would like to have seen Pierre Warren signed...
Though Warren's strip-forced fumble was negated by Jean-Baptiste running out of bounds on a punt play, Pierre Warren had really started to show more of his play-making ability that somehow is not obvious to Saints coaches... And I don't need to bring up that he seems to be the only Saints defender in five years that comes up with interceptions... What like to know what the deal, issues Saints coaches have with him... |
