Young New Orleans Saints open season with questions, enthusiasm
 

The seating arrangements on the New Orleans Saints' charter flights are assigned by seniority. The veterans sit in the best seats at the front of the plane and the young players fend for themselves in the back.

This year is different.

For the Friday flight to Phoenix, Ariz. for the team's opener against the Arizona Cardinals, some second-year players earned seats in first class, a section normally reserved for veterans. It's the first time some Saints veterans ever remember a player with such inexperience earning the perk.

Then again, on this Saints team, second-year players are veterans.

"It didn't take them long (to earn their status)," veteran right tackle Zach Strief joked.

The Saints will open the 2015 regular season with the most inexperienced team in the Sean Payton-Drew Brees era. Eleven rookies made the final 53-man roster, the most in the league. For perspective, the average league roster has 7.8 rookies. Only one other team has as many as 10.
