Yep. It has not been inspiring faith so far. But, we blew up the team in the offseason. Honestly, I'd be happy with middle of the pack this season. Even when we arguably had a SB contender type team -- we only made it to the playoffs and/or won the division one more time. I'm usually the hopeful Pollyanna --- but this season -- the reason for doubt is legit. I hate myself for talking like this too -- because I sound like a Falcon fan. The truth hurts sometimes.

Moral victories? That is some weak-a$$ bs for sure.

One more thing I noticed last year about morale -- the Saints kept freaking losing and when queried about whether or not they were worried -- Brees, Payton and others just acted like "What? Hey what's there to worry about?" Didn't seem like how freaking bad they actually were sunk in until it was way way too late.

If the sucking continues this year -- I hope they act like they are at least aware of the situation.

It hurts to see Moral victory articles already.
Sure the entire sports section for the redskin are full of them.
4 wins and 12 moral victorys last year.

Agree with most. Stop making excuses and own that you suck, if you do. Only way to fix it. Its as painful as Transition talk. Hell the Skins have been in transition for 12 years, lol. It mean you suckn and are checked off as a "should win" by the good teams.

But if this continues than Brees should change the 2009 chant from :

Brees: 1; Chorus: 2
Brees: Win; Chorus: For You

Brees: 3; Chorus: 4
Brees: Win; Chorus: Some More

Brees: 5; Chorus: 6

How is it the Pats can blow up their team almost every year and still make the playoffs & the super bowl? It can be done.

And Belichick isnt even a genius, but probably one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL. So consistantly OK defenses. Plus they consistantly get lesser drafts because they are always in the playoffs.
Probably because BB is pretty simple Do Your Job ! or you will lose your job.
No excuses. We need to start coping them again like we did in 2006.

The Saints line actually did very well against a very good defense, problem was execution...

Cam Jordan is Will Smith and will have great games against bad team and awful games against good teams...
