Drew Brees could 'miss games' with shoulder injury, according to NFL Network

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will likely miss games -- perhaps several games -- after suffering a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the NFL Network reported on Monday.

Saints coach Sean Payton acknowledged Monday that Brees was affected by a shot he took early in Sunday's game.

"Today's the day after. You take a peek and see how he's feeling, coming along, and see where we're at Wednesday," Payton said. "Certainly we'll do the best thing for him and for where he's at. But I think it's early to say."

Yikes. I hope it's nothing too serious. But I'm sure it'll be a few weeks minimum. Ugh...this sucks.

Just imagine the jersey sales if they were to sign Tebow. The internet would blow a gasket over a Tebow jersey with the word “Saints” on it. This needs to happen.

UPDATE: MRI confirmed Drew Brees did not suffer serious shoulder injury Sunday, per @edwerderespn. Ability to play depends on response to treatment.

For three weeks would we be better with Tebow running his spread offense or with Luke running the offense Drew Brees has averaged 19 pts per game for two weeks. Interesting
question.
