Saints QB Drew Brees still unsure if he'll play vs. Panthers
 

It is not known if Brees, who is dealing with a bruised rotator cuff, threw any passes during the session. He did not attempt a pass on Wednesday.

Before Thursday’s practice, Saints coach Sean Payton said he would not let Brees go until Sunday without attempting a pass.

“He wouldn’t go all the way to Sunday and then pregame is his first throws,” Payton said. “It’s a process that really starts with warming up and testing out how it feels, so we’ll see where it’s at.”

I don't think McClown should start if Brees doesn't play

This is the perfect opportunity to throw Grayson into the fire and see how he responds, possibly show us something that makes us excited for his future.

If pre-season is a barometer I don't think McCown can get it done.

There is ZERO chance that Grayson plays. McCown knows the offense like the back of his hand and gives the Saints a FAR better chance to win than Grayson. While some here are giving up, I'll assure you that the Saints are determined to do what it takes to make the playoffs. Any dreams of them tanking can be thrown away right now.

As bad as they played the first two games they could have easily won them.

preseason is not a barometer. McCown hardly had any reps with all 1st stringers
playing and when he did he looked pretty good. I believe McCown will start Sunday and we'll do just fine.

I think they know Brees will play and are just trying to get an advantage on the Panthers

I think your right if it was season over at game 12 -13 and breesus would be out for year ,then we'd see the future with grayson.:bng:
