Payton could put in Grayson and let him get game experience because if Drew is injured we've got to look to the future. However, Payton is too stubborn to take even a small chance of losing and having it reflect on the final schedule. Hell, Payton wouldn't even try to get a better draft spot when we played Tampa last year. So they tanked the game and got the premium draft spot.

the reason I don't want Grayson yet is because the team isn't playing well and I wouldn't want his confidence to get crushed

Because we didn't see crap in the preseason and we are getting pieces back on defense to protect the offense.

You're a weird fan. You can't stand Drew Brees. You blame every loss last year on the offense (which is insane) and it seems that you enjoy the suffering of other fans. You act like you know everything and that we as fans, and the Saints front office should be going to you with questions about this franchise.

Wow. Really annoying.

It may be because he lives in Shreveport. A sad existence. He may be more positive if he was across the river in Bossier.

We're going to win with a career back up just like Cleveland and Washington will!!!!

The difference is that it is just one game.

That's because Payton wants to do whatever gives the team the best chance to win the game that week. To hell with any coach that approaches it any other way.

"You play to win the game!"

Anything else is chicken****.

Uh, yeah, he looked like crap, yes he did.

58 percent completion % career, 9 td's and 14 int's.

Um WTF does the defense have to do with being excited about McClown at QB? Please explain your reading skills?

I seem to remember a Super Bowl winning team with "The Best Ever" at QB. One season "The Best Ever" couldn't play. Not to worry, the team around him was solid. They plugged in the backup, then the other backup and finally talked a retired "Star" into coming back. I live in Indy, I've seen this movie before and it doesn't end nicely.
