In fairness, they reported that a "source" said he will miss 4 weeks. I doubt he will miss that long. Ed Werder has been all over this. I trust his report before a "soirce"

Yes, I called you on what you posted yesterday:

How about after week 3? According to SP Drew will be out 4 more weeks at least.
Payton said no such thing. In fact, yesterday he said he was "optimistic" about Brees' chances of playing Sunday. People come here for information, not for bull. You either made that up or fell for a line of crap that someone else made up. People need to do a quick little search to confirm things before posting something as a fact.

It was reported on Nfln guido. But like I stated above, it was a source that said it.

When I want facts I go to ESPN.com...always money on the news they release

I know about that "report", but voodooido "reported" that SP was the one who stated it. That's what I was calling him on.

The only "sources" I can trust are the Saints front office and/or Dr. James Andrews.

Are you sure about that?

What I don't get is that, and I'll admit this - I've questioned his arm strength/stamina for a couple of seasons...

And yes, he's made some, some, deep throws that were sweet, but has been unable to do it consistently...

So what has happened now that he doesn't have the strength?!? Nerve damage?!?

Might explain why we passed on Georgia Wide Receiver Chris Conley among other wide receiver options in the third for a quarterback named Grayson...

Romo's bed buddy at ESPN reports Brees felt good after throwing session today and will return to practice tomorrow

A bruise prevents a muscle from contracting properly. That would affect both the power generated and the fluid motion of the muscle involved. For Brees that meant his distance (velocity) and his accuracy were affected. That was obvious in the second half against the Bucs.

I hope he gets some zip on the ball, McCown had good zip. Also if he can't throw the deep ball he should sit until he can.
