Horn to participate in Pro Bowl Skills Challenge

Saints WR Joe Horn, one of two New Orleans players on the NFC squad with P Mitch Berger, will show off his football talents the day before the 2005 Pro Bowl in the Pro Bowl Skills Challenge on ESPN this Saturday.

Horn, who caught 94 passes for 1,399 yards and 11 TDs during the season, will participate in two events - Best Hands and Fastest Man (40-yard dash).

Several other NFL stars, including Michael Vick and Peyton Manning will join Horn in the inaugural "Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Presented by Ameriquest," which will air on ESPN from 5-7 pm CT on Saturday. ESPN's Trey Wingo, Suzy Kolber and Tom Jackson, and Rod Woodson of NFL Network will host the show.

NFL All-Stars will compete in several football-related events in the "Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Presented by Ameriquest," including the Strongest Man, "On the Mark" (QB accuracy), the Fastest Man (40-yard dash) and the Best Hands.

In addition to the "Skills Challenge," there will be a "Legends" game featuring 14 former Pro Bowl stars, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Marcus Allen and Mike Singletary, and quarterbacks Dan Marino and Steve Young, both of whom were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last Saturday.

The two-hour special will be filmed at the Ko Olina Special Event Field adjacent to the J.W. Mariott Ihilani Resort & Spa.

The Pro Bowl, featuring the All-Stars from the National Football Conference against the American Football Conference, will be played for the 26th consecutive year at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.ﾠ The game kicks off at 6:30 pm CT on Sunday and will be broadcast live by ESPN and CBS Radio.
